Losing Winter, 3S Artspace, Portsmouth, NH, solo exhibition, February 7 - March 30, 2025, project dates: September 2024 - March 2025
For the activation of Losing Winter hosted by 3S Artspace, Cazabon gathered memories from long term residents of the Seacoast region. These recorded memories were shared with a group of Portsmouth High School art students who were prompted to create artworks in response and in connection to their own feelings about winter. Both the recorded memories and student artworks were displayed in the exhibition. Also included were photographs of key places in the region highlighted by participants, mural prints of 19th century stereographs of Portsmouth in winter, photographs shared by participants, and an audio collage of weather sounds.
